Friday, January 13th, was a very lucky day for all the participants, sponsors, and attendees who took part in the 7th Annual Jack Russell/Corgi Dog Race Fundraiser. But most of all, it was a very lucky day for the Park County Animal Shelter (PCAS), which benefited from the generosity of the residents of Park County who gave of their time, talent, and financial support to make this effort a success. The races, silent auction, and food & beverage sales raised over $25,000 to help pay for the day-to-day shelter operations of PCAS, and is the major fundraising event of the year.
Thank you to the 51 generous sponsors who helped pay for the upfront expenses, and all the others in the community who helped make this event happen. All 500 of the Advance-Sale raffle/entry tickets were sold out two days before the races, so next year be sure to get yours as soon as they go on sale!
We had great attendance, good food, spunky little dogs, a lively bar, avid “gamblers”, and over 100 silent auction items sold. All this added up to a good time, and we are off to a wonderful start for 2017 thanks to you.
We’ll see you at next year’s 8th Annual Jack Russell/Corgi Races!
